Branch Annual General Meetings are important as they provide an opportunity for members to elect their representatives, scrutinise and challenge branch finances and help to set the objectives and priorities for the year ahead.
They serve as a catalyst, helping bring members together to build stronger organisation. AGM’s must be held in the first quarter of the year between January and March. Normally they follow a traditional model with members attending a meeting in person.
Due to the dispersed nature of our Branch we have tried several different styles of holding AGM meetings over the past few years to be as inclusive as possible for all members, including multiple meetings around the region and online meetings as well as the single meeting in a central location.
