UNISON has several different types of conference that you can put yourself forward to attend.

National Delegate Conference [NDC]

UNISON’s annual National Delegate Conference is the union’s ruling body. Every year delegates from all over the country take part in debates to choose our campaigning priorities and policies.

Every UNISON branch elects reps to attend annual conference and vote on behalf of their branch members.

National service group conferences
The service groups bring together members across the country doing similar kinds of jobs or working for the same kinds of employers. We represent members in the Community service group and our conference is generally held in March each year. As a member you can stand as a delegate to the group conference.

Self-organised group conferences

These are conferences where UNISON members who share common concerns get together in self-organised groups to discuss, campaign and organise events around the specific issues that affect them. There are conferences for all of the below groups;

Disabled Members

Women

Black Members

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender + members

Look at the events section for when conferences are coming up and contact us for more information.
